About the Role

Horticultural Technician - Interior Plant Maintenance
£29,250-£32,900 DOE | Full‑Time or Part‑Time | Permanent
London | Field‑Based

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Horticultural Technician to join a well‑established interior landscaping business maintaining high‑quality planting schemes across commercial client sites throughout London. This role is ideal for a horticulturist who enjoys hands‑on plant care alongside regular client interaction and takes pride in maintaining interior displays to a consistently high standard.
You'll work independently across a designated London route, carrying out routine maintenance of interior (and some exterior) planting schemes, while building trusted, long‑term relationships with clients. This is a people‑facing maintenance role suited to someone confident in practical horticulture, plant health, and customer service within busy commercial environments.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain interior planting displays to a high professional standard
Diagnose plant health issues and implement appropriate solutions
Carry out scheduled maintenance visits across multiple client sites
Visit typically 2-8 sites per day on 2-3 weekly maintenance cycles
Communicate professionally and confidently with clients on site
Complete site reports and maintain accurate service records
Manage time effectively across a planned London maintenance route
Work safely at all times, following risk assessments and method statements
Liaise with line management to ensure service standards are consistently met

What We're Looking For

Previous experience in horticultural maintenance or plant care
Strong horticultural knowledge and genuine enthusiasm for plants
Customer‑facing experience and confidence dealing with commercial clients
Reliable, professional, and well‑presented at all times
Able to work independently while contributing positively to a wider team
Comfortable navigating large commercial buildings and varied London sites
Physically able to carry out plant maintenance tasks, including use of step ladders and watering equipment
Horticultural qualifications advantageous but not essential
Driving licence beneficial, though candidates based centrally with good transport links are encouraged to apply

What's on Offer

£29,250-£32,900 DOE
Permanent position with full‑time or part‑time options available
Established London maintenance routes with long‑term commercial clients
Training, development, and ongoing horticultural support
Supportive team environment within a growing interior landscaping business
Quarterly and annual performance‑related bonuses
Company benefits package including holiday allowance and healthcare support

If you're a horticulturist who enjoys combining interior plant care with client interaction and are looking for a stable, long‑term role in London, this could be an excellent opportunity.
