Assistant Controller

Responsibilities:

• Support the oversight of accounting and financial reporting
• Manage the month-end and year-end close process and ensure timeliness
• Oversee accounting related to commercial real estate assets and corporate financial assets
• Assist with coordination and project management of tax filings and external tax advisors
• Provide financial reporting and insights to support internal decision-making
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies
• Help identify and implement process improvements and stronger accounting fundamentals
• Oversee and mentor a team of accounting professionals
• Assist with prioritization and workload management across the accounting team

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience
• CPA (strongly preferred)
• Prior people leadership experience
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving environment with multiple priorities

Compensation and Benefits:

• Salary Range: $100,000–$130,000

Actual base salary will be determined based on an individual's experience, skills, education, certifications, credentials, special skills, accomplishments, and other factors relevant to the position.

This role is based in the Twin Cities. Applicants must currently reside in Minnesota or are planning to relocate to Minnesota in the near future.
