About the Role
We have a fantastic opportunity for you to work with our client as a full time High Risk Production Operative in a well-established operation in Grimsby DN37 9TS.
Role Purpose:
To transfer cooked soups and sauces into pots through machinery transfers, some hot fill, some cold fill. Conducting checkweigher and metal detector checks, ensuring quality, food safety, hygiene and health & safety standards are met.
Pay rates and typical working hours:
High Risk Production Operative
Standard: £13.87 p/h | Nights: £14.02 p/h (from 10:00pm to 6am) | Overtime: £17.98 p/h
Following a shift pattern 4 on 4 0ff 2 Days and 2 Nights in rotation
12 hours shifts | Mornings: 06:00 -18:00 | Nights: 18:00 – 06:00
Key Responsibilities of a High Risk Production Operative:
An in depth knowledge of the manufacturing process and factory equipment.
To adopt a clean as you go attitude in line with company policy.
To check frozen and fresh raw materials against the site quality standard.
To report all out of spec materials to the QA department.
To maintain an excellent standard of hygiene and housekeeping within your area(s) by working to good manufacturing practices.
Responsible for the Health and Safety of self and of others who may be affected by their actions.
To adhere to all Company and Site policies and procedures (i.e. Health and Safety, Hygiene, Disciplinary, Absence, Housekeeping etc.)
Flexibility to cover all other roles/ shifts within the production areas.
Knowledge Skills & Experience:
Have an in depth knowledge of the manufacturing process and factory equipment,
Be Numerate and Literate.
Knowledge of computers and SAP would be an advantage.
Hold a Level 2 food safety certificate,
Be able to work as part of a team.
Be able to use own initiative.
Ideally you will have knowledge of Machine operating e.g. pot fillers, checkweighers and metal detectors however full training will be provided.
