About the Role
IT Project Engineer – Deliver. Deploy. Get stuck in.
£35,000 - £45,000 | Fareham (with 1–2 days a week from home)
You're the kind of engineer who doesn’t sit on the sidelines - you roll up your sleeves and get the job done.
From server upgrades to cloud migrations, you’re hands-on with the tech and thrive on seeing a project through to completion. You’re not writing documents or juggling budgets - you’re in the thick of the action, making sure every deployment runs like clockwork.
This is your chance to join a well-respected IT Service Provider based in Fareham, delivering a wide variety of projects for end customers across infrastructure, networking, cloud, and Microsoft 365.
What’s in it for you?
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000
Location: Fareham office (with 1-2 days a week working from home)
Project Variety: Work on a mix of infrastructure refreshes, networking, cloud, and M365 rollouts
Tech Exposure: Get stuck into Windows Server, VMware, switches, firewalls, Azure, and more
Culture: A supportive, friendly team who back each other and value your technical input
Momentum: Keep moving from project to project - no BAU support or ticket queues here
What you’ll be doing:
Hands-on delivery of IT infrastructure and cloud projects for a range of SME clients
Installing, configuring, and migrating systems including Windows Server, VMware, and Microsoft 365
Deploying networking kit including switches, firewalls, and routers
Collaborating with customers on-site and remotely to deliver seamless transitions
Documenting your work and handing over clean, complete solutions to support teams
Troubleshooting and resolving any snags during project delivery
What we’re looking for:
Strong experience delivering technical projects in a customer-facing environment (MSP experience a bonus)
Confident working with infrastructure tech - Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware, networking kit, etc.
Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 migrations and cloud solutions
Clear communicator who can work directly with clients and internal teams
Someone who thrives on variety, ownership, and jumping straight into delivery
Full UK driving licence (for the occasional site visit)
