Principal Electronics Engineer (27600) Cambridge to £70,000 DoE + Benefits Apply for Similar Jobs Filled Overseeing electronics design and manufacture for industrial IoT products This Cambridge based industrial IoT startup is seeking an Electronics Engineer to lead their efforts in manufacture and design. Their products are sold across multiple industries and help reduce environmental waste as well as saving companies’ money. As interest continues to grow in their products, they are expanding and seeking suitable candidates. Day to day work will revolve around two key areas: improving product manufacture and developing new products. You will need to demonstrate expertise in small-to-medium scale electronics manufacture (runs of thousands) including testing and traceability while also exhibit strong design credentials including hands-on prototyping. Note: as part of your manufacturing responsibilities, you will be expected to travel internationally to partners and suppliers. Requirements: Strong understanding of small-to-medium scale PCB manufacture including design for manufacture, testing methodologies, and traceability. Good knowledge of the PCB design process from schematic capture through to prototyping and bench testing. This should include DRC processes, PCB reviews, PCB diagnostics, EMC testing and safety testing. Comfortable with international travel to manufacturing and production sites for NPI duties. A good degree in electronics or equivalent industrial experience.
