About the Role

We are working with a specialist SEND school supporting pupils with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD), autism, and associated medical or communication needs. The Role We are looking for Teaching Assistants to provide both flexible cover and long-term support, giving you the choice to work ad-hoc or in a consistent placement. In this role you will: Provide 1:1 and small group support tailored to pupils’ EHCPs Support pupils with communication, sensory regulation, and engagement in learning Assist with personal care, mobility and physical needs where required Help deliver multi-sensory, individualised learning activities Work closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff to provide a cohesive, multidisciplinary approach You will play a vital role in helping pupils to: Build independence and life skills Develop communication and interaction abilities Engage with learning in a way that is meaningful and rewarding Who This Would Suit We are particularly keen to hear from: Experienced SEN Teaching Assistants or support staff Care or support workers with experience in complex needs Graduates in Psychology, Education, or Health & Social Care Nursery practitioners looking to specialise in SEND You will be: Patient, empathetic, and adaptable Comfortable supporting pupils with complex medical, learning and communication needs Able to build trusting relationships and provide consistent care Motivated to develop a long-term career within SEND education Why This Role?
