About the Role
<p><strong>Job Title: HVAC Installer</strong><p><strong>Job Description</strong><p>This role focuses on installing residential HVAC systems including furnaces, air conditioning units, mini split systems, ductless systems, and heat pumps. You will complete full system installations, ensure compliance with appliance and safety standards, and maintain accurate inventory of equipment and materials while traveling to homes and businesses on a scheduled basis.<p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Install residential HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioning units, mini split systems, ductless systems, and heat pumps.</li><li>Install and connect gas piping, sheet metal, PVC, and electrical components required for HVAC systems.</li><li>Perform duct installation and routing to ensure efficient airflow and system performance.</li><li>Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work plans to complete accurate installations.</li><li>Ensure all installations comply with applicable appliance standards, codes, and safety regulations.</li><li>Travel daily to homes and businesses within the service area according to the assigned schedule.</li><li>Maintain an accurate inventory of HVAC equipment, parts, and materials on company vehicles and in storage areas.</li><li>Use HVAC specialty tools such as sheet metal brakes, gauges, manometers, hand tools, pipe fitting tools, and torches safely and effectively.</li><li>Apply working knowledge of boiler systems when installations involve hydronic or boiler-related components.</li><li>Communicate clearly with customers and team members to explain work being performed and address basic questions.</li><li>Document work performed and report any issues, delays, or additional needs to the appropriate internal contacts.</li><li>Follow all company policies and safety procedures while working on job sites and during travel.</li></ul><p><strong>Essential Skills</strong></p><ul><li>At least 2 years of experience as an HVAC installer (installation-focused, not service-only experience).</li><li>Strong understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating.</li><li>Hands-on experience installing furnaces, air conditioning units, mini split systems, ductless systems, and heat pumps.</li><li>Proficiency with HVAC specialty tools, including sheet metal brakes, gauges, manometers, hand tools, pipe fitting tools, and torches.</li><li>Ability to install and work with gas piping, sheet metal, PVC, and electrical connections related to HVAC systems.</li><li>Skilled in duct installation and routing for residential HVAC projects.</li><li>Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and work plans.</li><li>EPA 608 certification.</li><li>Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle for transportation to job sites.</li><li>Working knowledge of boiler systems.</li><li>Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.</li><li>High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent.</li></ul><p><strong>Additional Skills & Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Experience in residential HVAC installation across a variety of system types and brands.</li><li>Experience in construction or related trades that involve sheet metal and ductwork.</li><li>Experience working with refrigeration components in HVAC systems.</li><li>Ability to manage time effectively while traveling between multiple job sites in a day.</li><li>Strong attention to detail to ensure installations meet quality and safety standards.</li><li>Commitment to ongoing education and staying current with HVAC industry advancements and best practices.</li><li>Customer-service mindset with the ability to work professionally in occupied homes and businesses.</li></ul><p><strong>Why Work Here?</strong><p>The organization offers comprehensive health benefits, a company vehicle for work-related travel, and opportunities to earn additional income through commissions. You will work primarily in and around residential homes frequently traveling between job sites. The position involves hands-on work in various indoor and outdoor conditions, including basements, attics, and mechanical rooms, and requires the regular use of HVAC tools and equipment such as sheet metal brakes, gauges, manometers, hand tools, pipe fitting tools, and torches. Work is field-based rather than office-based, and you will spend most of your time on customer premises and in transit between locations</p><strong>Job Type & Location</strong><p>This is a Permanent position based out of Bloomington, IL.</p><strong>Pay and Benefits</strong><p>The pay range for this position is $40000.00 - $70000.00/yr.<p>company vehicle
