We are looking for an experienced and motivated Team Leader to support the day-to-day running of supported living and care services across the Weymouth and Bridport area.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in social care, learning disabilities, mental health support and staff leadership. The successful candidate will help ensure that people receiving support are provided with safe, high-quality and person-centred care that promotes dignity, independence, choice and positive outcomes.

As Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading and supporting a team of Support Workers and Senior Support Workers, ensuring effective service delivery, compliance and staff development in line with those values.
Key Responsibilities:
-Lead, support and supervise a team of Support Workers and Senior Support Workers
-Oversee the day-to-day running of the service
-Support the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care
-Promote co-production and ensure people receiving support are actively involved in decisions about their care and services
-Embed the values of Honesty, Inclusivity, Kindness, Dignity and Integrity across the service
-Ensure care plans, risk assessments, records and service documentation are accurate and up to date
-Promote safeguarding, dignity, independence, choice and positive outcomes
-Monitor sickness, vacancies, training, annual leave and staffing requirements
-Support recruitment, supervision, appraisals, mentoring and staff development
-Ensure compliance with CQC requirements, safeguarding procedures, health and safety standards and organisational policies
-Work closely with families, advocates, professionals, commissioners, housing providers and external agencies
-Support service improvement and contribute to maintaining high standards across the service
-Undertake support shifts when required to meet the needs of the service
About You:
The ideal candidate will have previous experience within the social care sector, ideally supporting people with learning disabilities and/or mental health needs.
You will be confident leading a team, managing priorities, supporting staff and maintaining high standards of care and compliance. You will also understand the importance of co-production and be committed to involving people receiving support in the design, delivery and development of their services.
You will be organised, resilient and compassionate, with an approach that reflects our client’s values. You will be able to communicate effectively with colleagues, people receiving support, families and professionals.
Essential Requirements:
-Previous experience in social care, preferably within learning disability and/or mental health services
-Experience of leading, supervising, mentoring or supporting staff
-Good understanding of person-centred care and co-production
-Commitment to Honesty, Inclusivity, Kindness, -Dignity and Integrity
-Knowledge of safeguarding, risk management, care planning and regulatory requirements
-Strong verbal and written communication skills
-Good organisational skills and the ability to manage changing priorities
-Intermediate IT skills, including Excel and databases
-Positive, flexible and proactive approach
-Ability to travel across local service locations
-Full clean driving licence
Desirable:
-QCF Level 5 or willingness to work towards this
Training, coaching or assessor experience
-Experience of CQC inspections or quality monitoring
-Experience working with housing providers, local authorities, commissioners or multi-agency teams
-Knowledge of tenancy agreements, appointeeship and funding arrangements.
