<p><strong>Civil Preconstruction Estimator- Joelton-Clarksville, TN </strong></p> <p>Join a leading company in Civil Construction in the <strong>Clarksville</strong> area, immersed in a dynamic sector with its own set of challenges and rewards!</p> <p>We seek a seasoned Civil Estimator in Middle Tennessee to oversee our Construction Precon Division.</p> <p>In the role of Preconstruction Estimator, you will be responsible for crafting and overseeing our competitive cost proposals for all civil construction projects. Your expertise will directly impact our ability to secure work and successfully complete projects, making it crucial that we find the ideal candidate to join our team.</p> <p>Job Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Review drawings, specs, and other documents to create comprehensive cost estimates.</li> <li>Lead the estimating and bidding processes for our civil projects.</li> <li>Determine labor, materials, and time requirements by reviewing proposals and blueprints.</li> <li>Solicit and evaluate quotes from subcontractors and suppliers.</li> <li>Compile bid packages and present final estimates to senior leadership.</li> <li>Participate in pre-bid meetings and site inspections as needed.</li> <li>Offer value engineering suggestions.</li> <li>Maintain historical cost data and create estimating tools and templates.</li> </ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of 3 years&#8217; experience as an estimator in civil construction.</li> <li>Demonstrated success in estimating various civil projects (e.g., excavation, site work, utilities).</li> <li>Proficiency in relevant software tools preferred (Bid-To-Win, HeavyBid, AutoCAD, AGTEK, Excel).</li> <li>Strong communication and negotiation skills.</li> <li>Keen attention to detail is a must.</li> </ul> <p>We provide a competitive compensation package with benefits such as Annual Bonus, Auto/Phone allowance, 401(k) with Match, PTO, Vacation, and Paid Holidays.</p>
