We are seeking a Mechanic-in-Training for assignment in Bixby, Oklahoma. The selected candidate will perform a variety of tasks in the preventative and corrective maintenance of electrical and mechanical equipment associated with water treatment plants.


Hours are Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 3:30pm


** This position has a pay rate of $20/hr **


Responsibilities
- Assists in the replacement of bearings in motors, pumps or other equipment
- Tightens and adjusts chains
- Removes and installs new or existing equipment or machinery
- Operates hoists, lifts and machinery
- Chips and paints
- Operates emergency power generation equipment
- Performs plumbing and pipefitting tasks as required
- Assists in keeping maintenance records
- Maintains and operates computer maintenance management system as required
- Performs other duties as required


Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- A valid Drivers License
- Some applied experience in the maintenance and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment
