Model Based Systems Engineer

<p><em>n</em>Logic is hiring a&nbsp;<strong>Model Based Systems Engineer</strong>&nbsp;to join our team in Huntsville, AL.<br><br>In this role, you will contribute to a long‑standing national security mission supporting a critical element of a major U.S. defense agency’s layered defense architecture. You’ll develop systems engineering products that enable the design and evolution of a large‑scale, ground‑based defensive capability used to help protect the United States.<br><br>The selected candidate will work within a Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) product line under an Architecture &amp; Delivery Integrated Product Team. This environment is fast‑paced, collaborative, and includes team members with a wide range of experience levels.<br><br><strong>Required Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>An active, in-scope Secret Security Clearance is required for this position</strong></li> <li>Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field, with progressively responsible experience in systems engineering (typically 5+ years at mid‑level to 8+ years at senior level)</li> <li>Advanced understanding of systems engineering principles, processes, and lifecycle concepts</li> <li>Hands‑on experience with requirements decomposition, requirements management, and traceability (e.g., DOORS)</li> <li>Experience supporting requirement verification through test, analysis, inspection, or demonstration</li> <li>Ability to plan work independently, collaborate across multidisciplinary teams, and engage with customers or stakeholders</li> <li>Ability to work on-site in an office environment.</li> </ul> <p><br><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience with requirement verification methods such as test execution or analysis</li> <li>Familiarity with complex ground-based defense systems</li> <li>Demonstrated ability in independent planning, organization, and working across functional teams</li> <li>Understanding of the Systems Engineering V‑Model</li> <li>Exposure to MBSE tools and practices</li> <li>Experience with Agile development approaches</li> <li>INCOSE or Systems Engineering certification.</li> </ul> <p><br><strong>Work Conditions:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Work Model: On-site</li> <li>Travel: Minimal</li> <li>Work Hours: Standard</li> </ul> <p><br>Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen.
