<strong>School Safeguarding Officer</strong> <br>📍 Reading<br> 💰 £24,367 - £29,179 per annum<br> 🕒 Full-time | Permanent<br> ⏰ Monday – Thursday: 08:00 – 16:00 | Friday: 08:00 – 15:30<br> 🚀 Interviews & Start Date: ASAP<br> <strong>About the Role</strong> A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced <strong>School Safeguarding Officer</strong> to join a well-established school in Reading. You will play a key role in supporting the welfare and safeguarding of pupils, working closely with the DSL and wider school team.<br> <strong>Key Responsibilities</strong><ul><li>Act as a first point of contact for safeguarding concerns</li><ul><li>Support the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)</li><li>Maintain accurate safeguarding and welfare records</li><li>Liaise with parents, staff, and external agencies</li><li>Assist with attendance and behaviour monitoring</li></ul></ul><strong>About You</strong><ul><li>Previous safeguarding experience within a school or similar setting</li><ul><li>Strong understanding of safeguarding procedures and legislation</li><li>Excellent organisational and communication skills</li><li>Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)</li></ul></ul><strong>Why Apply?</strong><ul><li>Supportive school environment</li><ul><li>Competitive salary</li><li>Immediate start available</li></ul></ul>
