About the Role
Performs routine pulmonary function testing (Spirometry, lung volumes, diffusion capacity, airway resistance, thoracic gas volume, respiratory muscle strength). Performs routine exercise studies such as oxygen titration and 6-minute walks, resting energy expenditure. Performs set-up and teaching for Home Sleep testing. Trains and educates clinical staff. <br/><br/><br/>Education<br/>Associate's Degree AMA approved school of respiratory care or pulmonary<br/>function technology Required<br/><br/>Experience<br/>1 year experience in pulmonary rehabilitation and/or pulmonary function testing Preferred<br/>General Experience in calibrating equipment, performing quality control procedures, and<br/>conducting a clinical exercise test Preferred<br/><br/>Licenses<br/>Cert Pulmonary Function Tech Required or<br/>Cert Respiratory Therapist Required or<br/>Reg Pulmonary Function Tech Required<br/>Basic Life Support Required<br/>Reg Respiratory Therapist Preferred<br/>Amer College of Sports Med. Preferred
