About the Role
<p><strong>Night Veterinary Surgeon – Part Time – 7 On / 14 Off – Rotherham, South Yorkshire, UK</strong></p>
<p>A well-established 24-hour small animal hospital in Rotherham, South Yorkshire is looking for an experienced Night Veterinary Surgeon to join its out-of-hours team on a permanent, part-time basis.</p>
<p>This is a purpose-built emergency and referral-level hospital with excellent facilities and a dedicated night nursing team, offering strong case continuity and a rota designed to protect work–life balance.</p>
<p><strong>The Role</strong></p>
<p>You will be responsible for all out-of-hours care within the hospital and associated local practices, working alongside a qualified night nurse.</p>
<ul>

<p>7 nights on / 14 nights off rota</p>
<li>
<p>Sole charge with nursing support</p>
<li>
<p>Access to full patient histories via shared clinical systems</p>
<li>
<p>Exposure to a varied and interesting OOH caseload</p>
</ul>

<p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>
<p>Deliver high-quality emergency and critical care</p>
<li>
<p>Manage medical and surgical OOH cases</p>
<li>
<p>Create and communicate clear treatment plans</p>
<li>
<p>Maintain excellent clinical and professional standards</p>
<li>
<p>Work collaboratively with the wider hospital team</p>
</ul>
<p><strong>Candidate Requirements</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>
<p>MRCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon</p>
<li>
<p>Confident working in an OOH or emergency setting</p>
<li>
<p>Strong clinical decision-making skills</p>
<li>
<p>Commitment to patient care and clinical standards</p>
</ul>
