Field Service & Calibration Engineer📍 Milton Keynes<br><br>💰 £14.00 per hour (Flexible for the right candidate)<br>⏰ Monday to Friday | 40 Hours per Week<br>🚗 Company Vehicle Provided for Site Visits<br>✅ Temp-to-Perm Opportunity<br><br>The RoleWe are recruiting for a Field Service & Calibration Engineer to join a specialist engineering organisation based in Milton Keynes.<br><br>This is a varied role combining workshop-based calibration and repair work with regular travel to customer sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, calibrating and fault-finding on specialist force measurement and testing equipment.<br><br>Work will be scheduled in advance by the Service Manager, with a mixture of office-based and field-based activities throughout the week.<br><br><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong><ul><li>Calibration, servicing and maintenance of force measurement and testing equipment</li><ul><li>Carrying out planned service visits at customer sites</li><li>Diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic and electronic faults</li><li>Repairing and replacing components including PCBs where required</li><li>Using calibration equipment and recording test results</li><li>Producing calibration certificates and service reports</li><li>Reading and interpreting technical drawings and engineering documentation</li><li>Ensuring compliance with relevant testing standards and quality requirements</li><li>Delivering excellent customer service on-site and remotely</li><li>Working independently and managing workload effectively</li></ul></ul><strong>Essential Skills & Experience<br></strong>✅ Experience servicing, calibrating or maintaining engineering equipment<br>✅ Good understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems<br>✅ Strong mechanical fault-finding skills<br>✅ Computer literate with experience recording and processing data<br>✅ Ability to read and understand technical drawings<br>✅ Full UK Driving Licence<br>✅ Valid Passport and willingness to travel<br>✅ Able to work independently with minimal supervision<br>✅ Physically fit and comfortable handling calibration equipment<br>✅ Professional and confident communicator able to engage with customers at all levels<br>✅ Basic electronics knowledge including: PCB replacement, Use of a multimeter, Fault diagnosis<br>✅ Understanding of: Load Cells, LVDTs, Electronic transducers, Measurement and testing equipment<br><br><strong>Desirable</strong><br>⭐ Calibration experience<br>⭐ Experience working within testing, measurement, instrumentation or laboratory equipment industries<br>⭐ Understanding of industry standards and compliance requirements<br>⭐ Previous field service engineering experience<br><br><strong>Suitable Backgrounds</strong><br>✔️ Field Service Engineer<br>✔️ Calibration Engineer<br>✔️ Instrumentation Engineer<br>✔️ Test & Measurement Engineer<br>✔️ Mechanical Service Engineer<br>✔️ Maintenance Engineer<br>✔️ Electronics Technician<br>✔️ Calibration Technician<br>✔️ Hydraulic Engineer<br>✔️ Ex-Forces Engineer (REME, RAF, Royal Navy)<br><br>What's On Offer?<br>✅ £14.00 per hour (flexible for exceptional candidates)<br>✅ Company vehicle during customer visits<br>✅ Monday to Friday working<br>✅ Long-term opportunity<br>✅ Temp-to-perm position<br><br>Interested?<br>📧 Send your CV to <strong>nikki.carpenter@pertemps.co.uk</strong><br>📞 Call <strong>Nikki Carpenter</strong> on <strong>01908 208500</strong>
