<h2>Data Centre Technical Lead</h2><p><strong>Pareto FM | Critical Environments</strong></p><h3>The Role</h3><p>Pareto FM are seeking a Data Centre Technical Lead to lead the delivery of technical services within critical and corporate environments.</p><p>This is a senior technical leadership role, responsible for the performance, resilience, and compliance of mission-critical building infrastructure. You will act as the technical authority across electrical, mechanical, and control systems that support business-critical operations, ensuring uptime, safety, and engineering excellence.</p><p>This position plays a key role in protecting operational continuity and reinforcing Pareto FM’s reputation for best-in-class technical service delivery.</p><hr><h3>Key Responsibilities – Critical Engineering Leadership</h3><ul><li><p>Lead technical service delivery across data centre and critical environments</p></li><li><p>Ensure maximum uptime, resilience, and business continuity</p></li><li><p>Act as technical lead across:</p><ul><li><p>UPS and standby power systems</p></li><li><p>Generators and HV/LV infrastructure</p></li><li><p>Cooling and HVAC systems for critical spaces</p></li><li><p>BMS and control systems</p></li><li><p>Emergency and life safety systems</p></li></ul></li></ul><hr><h3>Asset and Maintenance Strategy</h3><ul><li><p>Validate and manage asset data and registers</p></li><li><p>Ensure PPM programmes align with SFG20 and statutory requirements</p></li><li><p>Maintain compliance of maintenance schedules, CAFM records, and logbooks</p></li><li><p>Develop lifecycle plans and identify end-of-life risks</p></li></ul><hr><h3>Planned and Reactive Maintenance Oversight</h3><ul><li><p>Oversee delivery of all PPM and reactive works in line with SLAs</p></li><li><p>Ensure emergency response standards are met for critical systems</p></li><li><p>Reduce reactive failures through preventative engineering and trend analysis</p></li><li><p>Ensure statutory inspections and testing are completed and audit-ready</p></li></ul><hr><h3>Technical Support and Projects</h3><ul><li><p>Provide technical leadership on condition surveys and lifecycle planning</p></li><li><p>Support energy efficiency initiatives and environmental performance improvements</p></li><li><p>Lead technical risk mitigation activities</p></li><li><p>Support small works and technical upgrades within live environments</p></li></ul><hr><h3>Compliance and Risk Management</h3><ul><li><p>Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation</p></li><li><p>Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and industry best practice</p></li><li><p>Approve RAMS and manage Permit to Work systems</p></li><li><p>Maintain audit readiness and documentation standards</p></li></ul><hr><h3>Performance and Continuous Improvement</h3><ul><li><p>Monitor SLAs and KPIs across maintenance, compliance, and asset management</p></li><li><p>Drive innovation, engineering improvements, and value optimisation</p></li><li><p>Identify opportunities to enhance system performance and reduce risk</p></li></ul><hr><h3>About You – Essential Experience</h3><ul><li><p>Experience within data centres or critical engineering environments</p></li><li><p>Strong background in building services within a corporate or complex estate</p></li><li><p>Experience managing electrical infrastructure, including HV/LV, UPS, and generators</p></li><li><p>Experience with HVAC and critical cooling systems</p></li><li><p>Experience with BMS and control systems</p></li><li><p>Experience working within SFG20-based maintenance frameworks</p></li><li><p>Strong knowledge of statutory compliance</p></li></ul><hr><h3>Skills and Attributes</h3><ul><li><p>Calm and decisive in high-risk environments</p></li><li><p>Strong technical problem-solving capability</p></li><li><p>Strategic thinker with a practical, operational focus</p></li><li><p>Excellent stakeholder communication skills</p></li><li><p>Structured and compliance-driven approach</p></li></ul><hr><h3>Desirable Qualifications</h3><ul><li><p>Electrical or Mechanical Engineering qualification</p></li><li><p>Authorised Person or Senior Authorised Person status</p></li><li><p>IOSH or NEBOSH qualification</p></li><li><p>Experience using CAFM systems</p></li></ul><hr><h3>Why Join Pareto FM</h3><p>You will be part of a specialist technical services team delivering within high-profile, mission-critical environments.</p><p>Pareto FM prides itself on innovation, engineering excellence, and long-term partnerships — and this role sits at the heart of that delivery.</p>
