Logistics Coordinator

All our maritime products are sold by our own sales team through our global distribution network to shipping companies, shipowners and leisure markets all over the world.  About the Role The Logistics Coordinator is a member of the logistics team and coordinates and provides support for the flows of materials, information and finished goods incoming and outcoming.    Responsibilities: Coordinating shipments of products and if applicable managing consolidation of multiple orders and partial shipments for a given customer.  Calculating or requesting the quote for freight if required.  Conducting direct communication with customers via phone/email/videoconferencing to confirm the deliveries of orders and providing accurate information on shipment.  Planning and managing the shipment and addressing the specific requirements in co-operation with Operations for complex orders.  Creating shipping documents and communicating to the warehouse and freight forwarder.  Complying with transport of dangerous goods regulation, if required.  Booking the shipment with the freight forwarder.   Collecting relevant proof documents of the shipment including the customs declaration in the ERP system  Preparing, checking, distributing customer invoices and credit notes in collaboration with Finance.  Assisting with the flows of products and parts on a daily basis and according to the one-time-right principle and company stock policies.   Assisting collection of finished goods from production department for storing in warehouse and/or preparing for delivery to customer  Assisting in correct packing of products according to company quality standards.   Registering any product- and process non-conformities.   Identifying  process improvements to create efficiencies within the department   Managing tasks and duties according to the applicable quality standards  Maintaining the operational and quality standards in the applicable company (ERP, quality and CRM) systems.  Requirements: Mid level Applied Education - MBO - level 4 Affinity with warehouse processes + dealing with freight forwarders 2-3 years of experience in a technical production/warehouse environment Good command of Dutch and English – both verbally & written Team player as well as having the ability to work independently Experience with ERP (SAP by Design)/MRP systems is a plus Dangerous goods certificate - Lithium Battery (Air/Road/Sea) - is an advantage (training can be offered) Interested?
