Responsibilities
- Operations Management: Direct daily operations to achieve production targets, maintain quality standards, and meet delivery commitments.
- Team Leadership: Oversee production, maintenance, quality, and logistics, fostering accountability and clear expectations across teams.
- Production Planning: Develop and manage production schedules, optimizing labor and equipment to meet customer demands.
- Staff Development: Lead, coach, and develop supervisors and production staff, ensuring proper staffing levels and conducting performance evaluations.
- Continuous Improvement: Implement Lean, Six Sigma, and other process improvement initiatives to reduce waste and enhance efficiency and product quality.
- Financial Management: Manage plant budgets and operating costs, tracking key performance indicators related to safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure products meet internal standards and regulatory requirements, maintaining robust quality control and audit processes.
- Safety Compliance: Promote workplace safety and compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, leading initiatives to improve the safety culture.
- Supplier Coordination: Manage supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery of materials and components.
- Reporting: Provide regular updates on operational, financial, and performance metrics to senior leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred.
- 5 years of leadership experience in plant or operations within manufacturing, automotive, or remanufacturing industries.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, Lean principles, and quality systems.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams effectively.
- Solid financial acumen with experience in managing budgets and KPIs.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Experience working with ERP systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in high-volume remanufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with automotive industry standards and practices.
