About the Role

As a Subject Area Leader, you are the architect of your department’s pedagogical journey. Your mission includes: - Balance strategic leadership with active teaching, serving as a role model for high-quality learning. - Coach and mentor a dynamic team of subject coordinators and teachers to facilitate their professional development. - Ensure horizontal and vertical alignment across MYP, CP, and DP frameworks. - Work alongside the Vice Principal and HR Advisor to ensure your success and the department's vision. - Participate in a global network of IB World Schools with opportunities to contribute to the evolution of international education. You will take responsibility for the strategic leadership and development of their subject area, with the remaining time dedicated to teaching duties in line with your qualifications and experience. - You have a proven track record of leading large, diverse collaborative teaching teams. - You possess extensive knowledge of IB standards and substantial experience within MYP and DP frameworks. - You hold a Master’s degree in a Humanities subject and a teaching qualification recognised by the Dutch Education Authority (DUO). - You act with integrity, a growth mindset, and a commitment to holistic student support.
