About the Role
Join our dedicated Children with Disabilities (CWD) Team in Rochdale as a Qualified Social Worker (QSW) and make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and their families. We are seeking a passionate and skilled professional who is committed to safeguarding and supporting children with disabilities. In this role, you will work collaboratively with families, multi-agency partners, and community services to ensure the best outcomes for children and young people.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting assessments to identify the needs of children with disabilities and their families.
Developing and implementing care plans that promote the welfare and development of children.
Providing direct support and guidance to families, ensuring they are empowered and equipped to manage their child's needs.
Collaborating with health, education, and social care professionals to coordinate services and resources.
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in compliance with local authority policies and procedures.
To be successful in this role, you will need the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work).
Current registration with Social Work England.
Experience in working with children with disabilities and their families.
Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make informed decisions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on building relationships.
