Infrastructure Engineer

Join Mizuho as an Infrastructure Engineer! We are seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and operate enterprise-grade backend infrastructure supporting critical business platforms. This role focuses on compute, storage, and virtualization infrastructure, and partners closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to deliver secure, scalable, and resilient solutions. You will play a hands-on role across solution design,implementation, and automation, contributing directly to the stability and modernization of our infrastructure environment. What You’ll Do Partner with IT and business teams to evaluate requirements and design infrastructure solutions that meet performance, availability, and security standards Design and implement infrastructure solutions across server, storage, virtualization, and VDI platforms Develop and enhance automation and deployment workflows to improve efficiency and consistency Create, maintain, and improve system documentation, standards, and runbooks Contribute to the definition and adoption of infrastructure standards for both new and existing technologies Participate in a high‑availability environment requiring strong ownership and follow‑through What You Bring Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience Strong foundational knowledge of enterprise infrastructure technologies, including networking, hardware, and virtualization Ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives in a fast‑paced environment Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences Proven ability to remain calm and effective during high‑pressure or incident scenarios Self‑starter mindset with a strong sense of accountability from issue identification through resolution Core Technologies Infrastructure & Platforms VMware vSphere (vCenter, ESXi) Omnissa Horizon / Workspace ONE NetApp ONTAP, System Manager, OnCommand Insight, Cloud Volumes (Azure) Cisco UCS, Cisco MDS, Cisco NX‑OS Rubrik Backup Automation & Operating Systems Ansible PowerShell scripting Windows Server & Workstation Linux (RHEL, Bash) Why Join Us Work in a mission‑critical, enterprise environment with modern infrastructure platforms Opportunity to influence architecture, standards, and automation Collaborate with experienced engineering teams in a global financial services organization Strong emphasis on engineering rigor, reliability, and continuous improvement The expected base salary ranges from $111k-$155k. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered.
