Job Description
Provides technical performance and supervision in Nuclear Medicine and Positron Emission Tomography studies.
Performs patient care activities including IV insertion, assessment, and preparation and administration of radiopharmaceuticals.
Ensures patient safety by monitoring the environment and adhering to infection control practices.
Applies critical thinking using clinical history and imaging to address patient needs.
Engages in quality improvement initiatives to enhance workflow and patient experience.
Operates nuclear medicine and PET equipment, maintaining productivity and minimizing error rates.
Documents incidents and follows up with supervisors and peers as needed.
Critical Information
Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday (9:00 AMâ6:00 PM) and Saturday (6:00 AMâ3:00 PM).
Each shift is 8 hours with a one-hour lunch break.
On-site presence is required.
Education/Licenses Needed
Associate's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or related field.
Nuclear Medicine Technologist certification by ARRT or NMTCB.
Licensed by the Texas Medical Board as a Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist.
CPR certification.
