About the Role

Prep Team Member – Main Responsibilities

  • Set up and stock prep stations with all necessary ingredients, tools, and containers

  • Prepare chicken salad, sides, and ingredients according to company recipes and standards

  • Accurately portion, label, and date all prepped items

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized prep area at all times

  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and temperature control guidelines

  • Monitor product levels and prep ahead to support smooth service operations

  • Properly store and rotate ingredients using FIFO (First In, First Out)

  • Assist with receiving, organizing, and storing deliveries

Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Prep Team Member to support daily kitchen operations through efficient and consistent food preparation. This role focuses on producing high-quality ingredients that ensure the sandwich line and service team can operate quickly and effectively.

The ideal candidate is organized, works with a sense of urgency, and follows recipes exactly to maintain product consistency. Strong teamwork and communication are essential, as this position directly supports overall kitchen performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare all menu components (chicken salad, sides, produce, and other ingredients) following standardized recipes

  • Ensure all items are portioned, labeled, and stored correctly

  • Maintain strict cleanliness and sanitation standards in all prep areas

  • Inspect ingredients for freshness and quality before use

  • Keep prep levels aligned with business volume to avoid shortages or waste

  • Communicate with managers and team members about inventory needs and prep priorities

  • Safely operate and maintain kitchen equipment

Requirements

  • Previous kitchen or food prep experience preferred

  • Ability to follow recipes and procedures with precision

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

  • Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Ability to multitask and stay productive with minimal supervision

  • Ability to understand and communicate in English
