Part-Qualified Accounts Semi-Senior / Senior

Salary: £28,000 - £40,000 (depending on experience)

Location: Godalming

This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who’s looking to develop their skills within a supportive environment, with genuine progression on offer. You’ll benefit from a good level of autonomy in your role, but you’ll also receive guidance and training as needed. As the firm continues to grow, your role will evolve too – meaning there’s real potential to step into a Senior position in the future.

The Role:

You’ll be working with a varied portfolio of clients, from sole traders and partnerships to small and medium-sized limited companies across a range of industries. Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing year-end accounts
• Management accounts preparation
• VAT returns and bookkeeping duties
• Assisting with tax computations
• Liaising with clients to resolve queries and build lasting relationships
• Supporting senior staff with ad hoc projects
• Working with cloud-based software such as Xero, QuickBooks and Sage

This role would suit someone who is already working within an accountancy practice and is keen to take that next step in their career.

• AAT qualified, or part-qualified ACA / ACCA

• Previous experience in a UK practice setting is essential

• Comfortable preparing, or reviewing, accounts and VAT returns

• Confident communicating directly with clients

• A team player with a proactive attitude

• Eager to continue studying and progressing

• Salary likely in the region of £28,000-£40,000 dependent on experience

• A supportive and sociable working environment
