Location: Remote (Preferred: AZ, CA, CO, DE, FL, GA, ID, MD, MA, NY, NC, OR, PA, TX)

Position Summary

We're seeking a business-oriented Program Manager to join a lean, high-impact PMO supporting strategic initiatives across a growing financial services organization.

This is not a traditional project manager role focused primarily on schedules and status reporting. We're looking for someone who enjoys understanding business problems, facilitating cross-functional collaboration, bringing clarity to ambiguity, and helping leaders navigate complex initiatives from strategy through execution.

The successful candidate will partner across Product, Technology, Operations, Government Affairs, Legal, Compliance, Risk, Finance, and other business functions while helping mature PMO capabilities, delivery practices, governance, and tools.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

The right person is naturally curious, business-minded, and comfortable asking thoughtful questions to understand why the business operates the way it does before proposing solutions.

They enjoy facilitating conversations, building alignment across diverse stakeholders, simplifying complexity, and balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution.

They demonstrate high emotional intelligence with a collaborative, servant leadership mindset. They build trust quickly, lead with humility and curiosity, value diverse perspectives, and consistently prioritize organizational success over personal recognition.

They're equally comfortable discussing organizational change with executives, facilitating a working session with delivery teams, or helping improve the way the PMO operates.

What Succes Looks Like:

This person will:

● Lead complex cross-functional initiatives (sometimes from planning through transition to operations and sometimes at different stages owning a phase)

● Quickly understand business context before recommending solutions.

● Facilitate productive executive and cross-functional working sessions.

● Translate ambiguity into clear plans, priorities, decisions, and next steps.

● Lead organizational change, stakeholder engagement, communication, and operational readiness.

● Improve how work gets done by designing practical, lightweight business processes.

● Partner with PMO leadership to mature governance, reporting, methodologies, and tools (including Asana).

Required Experience:

We're looking for candidates who have demonstrated experience with:

● 8 years leading complex cross-functional programs.

● Financial services, fintech, or other regulated industries.

● Strong executive facilitation and stakeholder management.

● Leading through influence rather than formal authority.

● Organizational change and business transformation.

● Agile delivery (Scrum, Kanban, Hybrid).

● Scrum certification.

● Asana.

● Business process improvement.

● Excellent executive communication.

● Working comfortably in ambiguous, fast-changing environments.

● Consumer lending or mortgage experience.

● CFPB implementation experience.

● Enterprise compliance remediation efforts.

● PMO maturity initiatives.

● AI productivity tools (ChatGPT).
