About the Role
Escort hospital and ambulatory patients traveling by wheelchair or stretcher to their destinations.
Complete daily disinfection and tracking log for each patient escorted to their first appointment.
Sanitize wheelchair prior to each patient using the disinfection/inspection protocol.
Transport patients in a timely and safe manner from the entry point to their initial appointment.
Provide courteous and professional service to all patients and caregivers.
Navigate throughout the campus independently and communicate effectively.
Push patients of at least 200 pounds while maintaining a compassionate demeanor.
Critical Information
Shift times vary; available shifts include 6:45 a.m. – 5:15 p.m. and 8:45 a.m. – 7:15 p.m.
Training is required on a Monday-Friday schedule from 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM for up to three weeks.
This is a part-time position; consistent punctuality and attendance are essential.
The position is labor-intensive, requiring on-foot movement throughout the shift.
Education/Licenses Needed
High school diploma required.
1 year of patient care experience and heavy customer service experience.
