About the Role
Full-time Description We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cost Accountant to join our growing medical device organization. This role will be responsible for managing cost accounting functions within a manufacturing environment, ensuring accurate product costing, inventory valuation, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical capabilities, deep manufacturing experience, and a CPA license. This is a hybrid role with 4 days onsite required. Key Responsibilities: Lead all cost accounting activities, including standard costing, variance analysis, and cost allocations. Analyze manufacturing costs, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to improve profitability. Partner with operations to monitor production costs, inventory levels, and efficiencies. Maintain and update standard costs and bills of materials (BOMs). Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual inventory and cost-related journal entries. Support financial close processes. Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning. Support audits and provide required documentation for internal and external auditors. Drive process improvements and system enhancements related to cost accounting. Requirements Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. CPA or Master's Degree strongly preferred. 5+ years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment (medical device or regulated industry preferred). Strong knowledge of standard costing, inventory accounting, and variance analysis. Experience with ERP systems. Solid understanding of GAAP. Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities. Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills. Experience supporting audits in a regulated industry. Salary Description $115,000-$125,000 annually
