Environmental Engineer – Data Centre – Sandviken, Sweden

Our client is a dedicated Data Centre Construction company providing turnkey solutions to our clients, headquartered in Dublin and delivering throughout Europe. As an engineering-focused organisation, they have grown to become one of the leading and most trusted companies in our sector. 
We are pleased to announce that we are currently seeking an experienced Environmental Engineer to join their team. This position will be based on-site in Sandviken, Sweden.

Responsibilities

Site Inspections & Compliance Monitoring
•    Carry out regular site inspections and environmental walkovers, identifying non-conformances, agreeing corrective actions with site teams, and ensuring timely close-out in line with project risk levels.
Environmental Reporting & Documentation
•    Monitor and report on environmental performance, including incidents, waste management, and compliance, producing detailed monthly reports and maintaining accurate site records.
Audits, Permits & Incident Management
•    Lead environmental incident investigations, audits, and permit checks, ensuring all findings are addressed and compliant with project and client standards.
Environmental Controls & Best Practice
•    Oversee environmental controls on site, including protection of watercourses, discharge management, and spill response planning, while promoting best practice and environmental awareness across the workforce.
Project Support & Sustainability Delivery
•    Support project delivery by reviewing method statements, contributing to environmental planning (CEMP), and coordinating sustainability requirements such as waste minimisation and environmental certifications (e.g. LEED).

Requirements

Must have relevant degree level qualification or Environmentalist qualifications
Must have 5+ years’ experience in a similar role on large scale projects (preferably Mission Critical)
Must have EU Passport or RTW in Sweden

Benefits

€65,000 - €85,000 + Accommodation, Rotation, Flights, Travel, Healthcare, Pension, Overseas allowance
