<p>Anderson Knight are seeking a Financial Accounting Manager to lead and elevate our accounting function, ensuring timely, accurate and insightful financial reporting while encouraging a culture of innovation and operational engagement.</p>

<p>Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will oversee the daily operations of the Finance department. You will play a pivotal role in driving process improvement, strengthening internal controls and providing actionable financial insights to support strategic decision-making across the business.<br />

<p>Key Responsibilities</p>
<p>• Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts and statutory financial statements.<br />
• Ensure full compliance with UK accounting standards, internal policies, and reporting deadlines.<br />
• Oversee balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and journal entries.<br />
• Manage year-end audit preparation and act as the primary liaison with external auditors.<br />
• Supervise, mentor, and develop a finance team, driving a culture of accountability, learning, and high performance.<br />
• Manage workloads, set priorities, and drive consistent delivery of accurate financial information.<br />
• Champion ongoing professional development and coaching initiatives.<br />
• Maintain and continuously enhance internal financial controls and processes.<br />
• Develop, implement, and document accounting policies and procedures to ensure efficiency and compliance.<br />
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic reforecasts.<br />
• Monitor performance against budgets, ensuring effective cost control and resource allocation.<br />
• Identify and implement process efficiencies across the accounting function.<br />
• Drive automation, system enhancements and adoption of digital tools to optimise financial operations.<br />
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the finance team.</p>
<p>The main candidate will be:</p>
<p>• Fully qualified accountant (CA or ACCA).<br />
• Proven experience in a supervisory or management accounting role.<br />
• Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP.<br />
• Excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills.<br />
• Proficiency with accounting software (and advanced Excel skills.<br />
• Experience in process improvement, system implementation, or digital transformation.<br />
• Working knowledge of UK Gaap.</p>
