Field Service Engineer
Territory - PA, MD, Washington DC
Position Summary
The Field Service Engineer is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting our Products in medical device institutions within a specific geographic area or as defined per business needs.
Essential Job Functions (included but not limited to)
- Perform assigned preventive maintenance for our products
- Perform installation and removal of all our products
- Troubleshoot and correct problems with all our products in the field
- Build strong relationships with users of the laser in assigned accounts
- Support primarily the assigned territory and assist other territories as needed
- Accurately complete relevant paperwork in a timely manner
- Adhere to company SLA (Service Level Agreement)
- Provide phone support
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of field service experience in medical devices or similar multi-disciplinary equipment
- Experience managing a territory, including time management within a designated area
- Strong time management skills and a passion for continuous skill development
- Knowledge of lasers and multidisciplinary equipment
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with customers and sales teams while delivering excellent customer service
Environment and Conditions
- Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds
- Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods
- Must be able to kneel, squat, and sit on the floor for periods of time
- Work independently in a home office and customer environments
Work Demands
- Adaptable to heavy travel demands (over 75% of the time)
- Ability to multitask in a high-interruption environment
- Work independently with minimal supervision

- Maintain a strong customer-service orientation in all interactions

Internal:
- Daily contact with supervisor, dispatcher, sales, and other departments
