Cover Supervisor - Kenilworth

About the role:

Justteachers is seeking a confident and adaptable Cover Supervisor to join a welcoming secondary school in Kenilworth for a full time long term position in September. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young people, can build positive relationships quickly, and is able to support learning across a range of subjects.

You’ll be joining a supportive staff team in a school that values consistency, strong behaviour routines, and a positive learning environment. The role involves supervising classes during teacher absence, ensuring pupils remain focused on the work set, and helping maintain high standards across the school day.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise classes across a range of subjects in the absence of the class teacher.
• Ensure pupils remain on task and complete the work that has been set.
• Promote positive behaviour and follow the school’s behaviour policy consistently.
• Provide support and guidance to pupils where appropriate, helping them stay engaged with their learning.
• Work collaboratively with teaching and pastoral staff to support the smooth running of the school day.

Pre-requisites:

• Experience working with young people, ideally within a secondary school or educational setting.
• Confident classroom presence with strong behaviour management skills.
• Ability to follow lesson plans and instructions left by teaching staff.
• A flexible, professional, and proactive approach to supporting pupils and staff.
• Two relevant references, ideally from an educational setting.
