About the Role

Are you a detail-oriented technician with a knack for precision wiring and high-quality fabrication? We are looking for a skilled Industrial Control Panel Builder to join our production team. In this role, you will be the hands-on expert responsible for the end-to-end assembly, wiring, and testing of UL508A industrial control panels. From the initial layout of the back panel to the final energized testing, you’ll ensure every component is installed to print and functions perfectly. Contract-to-Hire: Opportunity to become a permanent employee and receive pay increases, as well as career advancement opportunities.  What You’ll Do as an Electrical Panel Builder: Dimensioning and layout of back panels and enclosures. Mounting components to back panels and enclosures. Routing and bundling wire and cables neatly to meet internal wiring standards. Point-to-point wiring of Relays, Controls, PLC’s, I/O Modules, VFD’s, Interfaces & Instrumentation. Use of hand and power tools, including torquing, drilling, tapping, etc. Troubleshooting as needed to eliminate errors and potential component malfunctions. Maintaining redline drawing mark-ups of any changes required during manufacturing (as signed off by Engineering). Communicate effectively with all team members as well as Management. Ability to meet deadlines under pressure. Strong attention to quality and details. Teamwork approach and ability to help in other areas as needed. Train lower-level team members as needed. All other duties as assigned. Skills and Experience High School Diploma or equivalent. Understanding of electrical schematics. Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally in English. Industrial control panel experience is preferred but not required. Prior experience with UL508A control panels is preferred but not required. Willingness to work overtime occasionally as necessary. Knowledge of electrical theory and terminology. Ability to use measurement devices, such as tape measure.  Follow safety and ISO procedures. Physical capabilities include sitting, standing, reaching across control panel, walking, talking, hearing, bending, pushing, pulling and lifting to 50 lbs. Read/comprehend tape measure, blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, work orders, instructions, formulas, and processing charts.
