Our team moves fast, embraces trends, and creates content that resonates with millions of people every day.</span></p><p><span><strong>The Role</strong></span></p><p><span>We’re looking for a <strong>Senior Social Editor</strong> to be at the heart of LADbible’s audience growth strategy. You’ll be responsible for distributing trending and breaking news to our global audience, ensuring our journalism reaches the <strong>right people, on the right platforms, at the right time</strong>.</span></p><p><span>You’ll work closely with journalists and editors to <strong>shape a daily publishing schedule</strong>, using your editorial judgement and data insight to maximise reach and engagement across social platforms and beyond.</span></p><p><span>This is a <strong>fast-paced, social-led editorial role</strong> with real impact on the performance of the brand.</span></p><p><span><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></span></p><ul><li><p><span>Stay ahead of competitors by proactively researching trending news, stories, and viral videos.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Identify and champion content that our audience will want to read, watch, or share.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Take a 360° approach to sourcing and distributing content across multiple platforms and referrers.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Collaborate with social editors, writers, and journalists to develop ideas and improve content performance.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Schedule and post content, primarily across <strong>Facebook and Twitter</strong>.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Package articles by writing compelling headlines, captions, and selecting attention-grabbing thumbnails.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Monitor performance using social and audience analytics tools, optimising content to maximise reach.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Explore and adopt new methods for audience growth across search and other referrers.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Bring creativity, initiative, and fresh ideas to the team, contributing to ongoing improvements.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Work across a <strong>seven-day rota</strong> and cover live events as they happen.</span></p></li></ul><p><span><strong>Who You Are</strong></span></p><ul><li><p><span>At least <strong>5 years’ experience</strong> in a newsroom or digital publishing environment.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Strong knowledge of social media platforms and <strong>Google Search</strong>.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Deep interest in the <strong>UK and US news agenda</strong>, especially pop culture, trends, and viral stories.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Degree in Journalism, Broadcasting, Media, or equivalent experience.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Experience selecting content and writing headlines for a <strong>digital audience</strong>.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Clear understanding of trending news and how to turn it into original, engaging stories.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Working knowledge of analytics tools such as <strong>Google Analytics, Trends, Chartbeat, and NewsWhip</strong>.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Proven ability to work collaboratively within editorial teams and <strong>mentor junior colleagues</strong>.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Clear examples of successful social campaigns, posts, or articles that drove audience growth.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Strong proofreading skills and understanding of journalism law and ethics.</span></p></li></ul><p><strong>At LADbible Group we've rolled out blended working which means the majority of departments across the business (including London, Manchester and International offices) work in the office 3 days per week.</strong></p><p><strong>LADbible Group is an equal opportunities employer.
