The successful candidate will be at the forefront of shaping the digital landscape, ensuring the company remains a leader in the ecommerce space.   In this role, you will oversee the development and execution of comprehensive marketing strategies that enhance online presence and drive revenue. Your responsibilities will include managing a talented team, analysing market trends, and leveraging data-driven insights to optimise campaigns. Collaboration with other departments will be key to ensuring a seamless customer experience and achieving business objectives.   Candidates should possess a proven track record in ecommerce marketing, with at least 7-10 years of experience in a senior role. Strong leadership skills, a strategic mindset, and the ability to adapt to changing market conditions are essential. Expertise in SEO, PPC, email marketing, and social media campaigns is required, along with a deep understanding of web analytics tools. A degree in marketing, business, or a related field is preferred.     Head of Ecommerce Marketing- The Role: Commercial Ownership & Financial Discipline: Co-own ecommerce revenue and profit performance Ensure marketing investment aligns with margin and cash discipline requirements. Implement relevant marketing KPIs across all marketing channels incl CAC, LTV in addition to existing KPIs (ROAS, CPO etc) that supports investment decisions Deliver efficient acquisition, strong return on investment and sustainable growth Provide accurate forecasting and performance visibility to leadership Align media investment with merchandising plans, stock and trading priorities Contribute to structured board reporting and monthly and weekly reports and reviews   Ecommerce Marketing Strategy: Develop and execute a multi-market ecommerce marketing strategy aligned to our phased Ecommerce roadmap Prioritise traffic quality and acquisition efficiency Balance short-term performance with long-term brand and organic growth Define channel mix, budget allocation recommendations and investment scenarios for approval and then execution   Performance Marketing: Own paid search, paid social, affiliates, display and emerging channels Drive disciplined CAC management and continuous ROAS improvement Lead structured testing frameworks across creative, audience and channel mix Ensure agency partners operate against clear commercial KPIs and optimisation standards, holding them to accountability and driving continuous improvement Continuously identify efficiency gains and scalable growth levers   SEO & Organic Growth: Define and deliver the organic growth roadmap, partnering with agencies and internal stakeholders to ensure SEO deliverables are prioritised on the tech roadmap Improve traffic quality and reduce dependency on paid acquisition over time Ensure SEO initiatives are commercially aligned and technically robust   CRM & Lifecycle Marketing: Own the CRM strategy across acquisition, activation, retention and reactivation Drive database growth in line with commercial objectives Increase repeat purchase, customer lifetime value and engagement Ensure segmentation, personalisation and automation frameworks are effective and scalable   Experimentation & Conversion Optimisation: Identify funnel opportunities and define marketing-led test hypotheses Partner closely with Head of Ecommerce Platform to influence site optimisation priorities Ensure experimentation is financially grounded and impact-driven Embed a culture of disciplined, measurable testing   Team & Agency Leadership: Lead and develop a small internal ecommerce marketing team Build capability, accountability and high-performance standards Own the success and performance of all agency partners Define internal versus external capability models Establish clear ways of working, structured reporting, and performance governance Implement AI models and tools where relevant, ensuring that the team are trained up and deploying AI to improve workflows and see performance gains The success of this role is measured not only by performance outcomes but by the strength, maturity and accountability of the marketing function         Head of Ecommerce Marketing- The Person: 8–12+ years of ecommerce or DTC performance marketing leadership experience with Shopify experience advantageous Proven track record delivering ambitious growth while maintaining profitability Strong financial acumen and forecasting discipline Experience operating in turnaround, restructuring, or high-change environments Deep expertise across paid media, CRM, SEO, and channel economics Experience managing agencies and developing internal teams High data literacy and comfort with structured reporting environments Experience using AI to drive efficiencies, insights and improvements across marketing channels, budgeting etc Experience in multi-market European ecommerce operations preferred Calm, decisive, and commercially rigorous individual who can balance strategy and execution
