To complement the wealth of knowledge amongst our primary care teams, we have over 250+ board-certified specialists in 16 different disciplines within the 14 specialist-led and three certificate holder-led referral practices (Eye Vet, West Midlands Referrals and Veterinary Vision) within Linnaeus. Some of our predominantly primary care practices also have Specialists and experienced certificate holders as part of their teams and offer Specialist or additional referral services as appropriate.
We have the largest network of multi-disciplinary referral practices in the UK; in addition, we have several single-disciplinary referral sites, including ophthalmology and orthopaedics. Within our specialist-led referral hospitals, we train more than 85 rotating interns, 35 discipline-specific interns and 110 residents across 11 disciplines. Our Specialists and certificate holders also benefit from our annual discipline-specific away days.

Andrew Armitage, Clinical Director
"Working at Linnaeus has given me the freedom to pursue my passion and interests and has supported me to grow professionally. The company's commitment to fostering valuable connections has enabled me to collaborate and achieve my dream of becoming a published researcher. Without these opportunities, realising my dream may have been made much harder."
Macarena Sanchez-Martel MRCVS, MANZCVS Feline Medicine, Veterinary Surgeon, Peak Veterinary Practice
“I graduated in Cordoba, Spain, in 2010 and moved to the UK in 2012 to complete a rotational internship at Davies Veterinary Specialists. I joined Peak Vets a little while later and have recently completed my ANZCVS Medicine of Cats Qualification - Peak Vets and Linnaeus supported me every step of the way – showing their commitment to development.”
