About our Team The Academic & Government Research Sales team helps our customers establish, discover and advance knowledge. We provide high-quality digital resources tailored for academic institutions and government organizations through our extensive portfolio which include a wide range of Journals and eBooks that support research, education, and policymaking. About the Role The Account Manager- Inside Sales (iRAMs) are responsible for growing Elsevier’s journals and books through new sales and for the maintenance / growth of the existing base (renewals and upsell/cross-sell). iRAMs are responsible for maintaining customer relationships and leveraging internal and external resources to drive growth. Responsibilities Achieve revenue targets for Journals and Books across new business and renewals. Annual account planning and execution (jointly with other sales resources where required) Regularly review sales results and forecasts e.g. via Clari and other sales enablement tools and adjust actions accordingly. Ensure Salesforce is always up to date. Gather, monitor and evaluate competitive information and provide market feedback to the business to enhance product development and GTM. Develop and maintain relationships with all relevant decision makers and influencers at the customer level to support Elsevier’s strategic objectives. Provide customer support and after-sales follow-up Requirements A University degree, BS/BA or equivalent experience 3+ years of proven commercial (B2B) experience, including account planning, growing an account, cross-sell and up-sell. Experience selling content, technology or similar (3 years’ experience) Experience in selling to academic institutions in Eastern and Southern India Proven success in negotiating contracts and closing business Proven success in new business prospecting, selling, negotiating and closing skills Experienced working in a global and highly matrixed organization.
