This position plays a key role in driving product demand, building strong dealer and co-op relationships, and delivering exceptional customer service. Ideal candidates are passionate about agriculture and animal care, and eager to develop technical expertise and market knowledge. <br><br>Location: This is a remote (virtual) field-based sales position that must be located within the geographic territory of Southeast Nebraska. Willingness to travel within this territory to gain insights into the region and understand prospects.  <br><br>Species focus:   Calling on cow calf, feedlot, equine and sheep/goat animal owners (primary focus being cattle) to evaluate existing feeding programs, and to recommend and assist them with their nutritional programs.<br><br>Key Responsibilities: <br>Make 25+ farms and facilities visits each week to assess feeding programs and recommend solutions <br><br>Drive sales by introducing new feed products to customers and supporting existing customers <br><br>Drive relationships with dealers, co-ops, and Purina experts <br><br>Lead educational events and demos to promote products and strengthen customer loyalty <br><br>Manage customer data and use analytics tools to deepen market knowledge <br><br>Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders, participate in meetings and training, and share feedback for continuous improvement <br><br>Coordinate logistics and event materials with dealers and cross-functional teams <br><br>Grow and apply business and industry skills to execute sales plans and growth opportunities <br><br>Pursue ongoing professional development and adapt to changing needs <br><br> <br>Qualifications (Required):  <br>Highschool diploma or equivalent  <br><br>3 + years industry experience or farm experience equivalent to sales experience or education  <br><br>Solid understanding of the industry, sales practices, or Purina products <br><br>Proven ability to build relationships and network to grow business <br><br>Strong sales drive with experience making frequent customer calls <br><br>Skilled in problem-solving and independent decision-making <br><br>Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills <br><br><br>Qualifications (Preferred): <br>Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Agriculture, Agribusiness, or a related field preferred <br><br>Ability to formulate feed related to Grass Cattle <br><br>High internal drive, a natural ability for relationship building, and leadership in a team environment. <br><br><br>Competencies & Other Skills  <br>Adapt to changing market conditions with professionalism and integrity <br><br>Communicate clearly and organize work effectively <br><br>Build strong relationships and show leadership in teams <br><br>Make daily sales calls and interact with customers in various environments <br><br>Network within the industry to grow business <br><br>Lift and carry up to 50 pounds as needed <br><br>Deliver effective presentations <br><br>Work professionally with people at all levels <br><br>Solve problems quickly and effectively <br><br>Demonstrate agility and integrity in all interactions <br><br>Show initiative and think creatively to address challenges <br><br>Willingness to travel overnight (5–10%) and daily within assigned territory <br><br><br>The salary range for this role is $61,360 $92,040.
