English Teacher - Bradford

About the role:

Justteachers is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic English Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Bradford from September 2026. This is a full-time position for the entire 2026/27 academic year, offering an excellent opportunity to make a lasting impact within a supportive and ambitious school community.

The school is looking for an inspiring educator who can deliver engaging English lessons and motivate students to achieve their full potential across Key Stages 3 and 4. Applications are welcomed from both experienced teachers and ECTs.

As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons that encourage a love of literature and language while supporting students to develop their reading, writing, and analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging English Language and English Literature lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Assess, monitor, and record student progress in line with school policies.
• Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all students.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and achievement.
• Prepare students for internal assessments and GCSE examinations.
• Contribute to departmental planning and curriculum development.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and pastoral teams to support student success.

Pre-requisites:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching English within a secondary school setting.
• Strong subject knowledge across English Language and Literature.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• A commitment to raising standards and improving outcomes for all learners.
• The ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
