Electronics Technician (Prototype)
South Cambridge | 5 days on-site
£35k – £45k

Are you a hands-on electronics technician who enjoys building, testing, and refining real hardware?
Do you take pride in high-quality assembly and working closely with engineers to bring complex designs to life?

We’re working with an established engineering business developing advanced electronic and RF-based technologies. This role sits within a product development environment, supporting the build and validation of cutting-edge prototypes.

You’ll be at the centre of the action in the lab, assembling, modifying, and fault-finding on complex electronic systems.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Build and assemble electronic prototypes
  • Solder small surface mount components and carry out PCB rework
  • Work from schematics and drawings to build systems
  • Support prototyping, testing, and fault finding
  • Keep build records up to date
  • Help maintain a busy R&D lab
  • Experience in an electronics lab or assembly environment
  • Good soldering and rework skills
  • Able to work from schematics with minimal supervision
  • Comfortable working with engineers on projects
  • Keen to learn and get stuck in
