This organization is committed to staff development, offering genuine training and growth opportunities, with internal succession planning being key to their continued expansion. Reporting directly to the Regional Team Leader, you will be responsible for the high-quality Operation and Maintenance (O&M) of ground-mount solar assets: Execute scheduled preventative maintenance and respond swiftly to reactive fault incidents across a variety of ground-mount solar assets. Perform thorough Testing and Inspection (to 2391 standard) of electrical systems, including tracing, identifying, and rectifying faults where possible. Lead fault-finding and repair activities on both AC and DC electrical systems, ensuring maximum generation uptime. Liaise directly with specialist equipment suppliers to troubleshoot complex issues encountered on site (e.g., inverters, transformers). Adhere strictly to all HSE legislation and procedures when carrying out work, including supervising third-party contractors as required. Submit daily reports detailing work carried out, system status, and any necessary corrective actions. Participate in an occasional paid weekend rota and manage occasional working/staying away requirements. We are looking for a dedicated Technician with proven electrical qualifications and relevant experience: Extensive experience with utility-scale or large commercial/industrial scale solar assets. Minimum Level 3 electrical qualifications (e.g., City & Guilds). Current 2391 (or equivalent) certification for Inspection and Testing. Strong working knowledge of HV and LV power electronics, including transformers and inverters. HV Authorised Person (AP) status is highly desirable. Excellent fault-finding skills and a methodical approach to electrical troubleshooting. The salary for this role is up to £50,000 depending on relevant experience. The role includes a company bonus of up to 12.5%. A company vehicle and fuel card, phone, laptop, and essential equipment will be provided. Private healthcare and life insurance worth up to £200,000 are also included. Flexible working arrangements are available.
