Paralegal – Medicaid State Fair Hearings (Hybrid)
Location: Hybrid (In-office Tuesday–Thursday)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (AZ Time)
Pay Rate: $29.86/hour

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Paralegal to support the Arizona Medicaid legal team with State Fair Hearing matters. This role involves handling hearing-related projects, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, and providing direct support to the lead attorney.
This is a hybrid position requiring in-office presence approximately three days per week (Tuesday–Thursday).
Key Responsibilities
- Manage State Fair Hearing projects, including file review and database updates
- Triage and process incoming legal mail (hearing requests, motions, orders, and related correspondence)
- Ensure all matters are handled in a timely manner and in compliance with federal and state requirements
- Maintain and update hearing databases with accuracy
- Support team objectives through administrative and legal tasks
- Assist the lead attorney with additional projects as needed
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of related work experience
- Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience
- Associate’s degree (required)
- Certificate in Paralegal Studies from an ABA-approved institution (required)
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Knowledge of Medicaid and Medicare
- Experience in managed healthcare
Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of legal terminology and concepts
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe
- Experience with database systems and data entry
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and independent reasoning abilities
- Ability to quickly learn new concepts and work independently with high-quality output
- Comfortable working extensively with electronic documents and systems
