Clearance: SC/NPPV3
Preferred backgrounds include:
• Engineering (especially building services / mechanical / electrical)
• Architecture or partial architectural training
• Broad construction industry experience (private or public sector)
Must have

• Strong Technical Understanding of the Built Environment
• The candidate must have a deep understanding of buildings, how they go together, and the built environment in general.
• Must be able to write clearly, accurately and independently.
• Does not need to be a professional technical writer, but strong English and structured writing are critical.
• Able to turn stakeholder input into detailed standards from a blank sheet.
• Ability to Write High Quality Technical Standards
• Extract accurate requirements from difficult stakeholders
• Chase people persistently but diplomatically
• Build trust with both police and supply chain professionals
• Exceptional Stakeholder Engagement Skills
• Ability to Communicate Across Technical and Non Technical Audiences
• Credible, confident and adaptable across these groups.
• Experience of Corporate / Organisational Environments

• Technical understanding (engineering)
