A long-term, live in Housekeeper Cook role supporting a private family of four in a countryside residence, suited to an organised, child-friendly candidate with a proactive and flexible approach. Job Summary:   This is a structured, long-term role suited to an experienced housekeeper cook seeking a stable and welcoming family environment, with a focus on maintaining high standards and supporting a busy household The role is based within a semi-formal private family home in the countryside, supporting a family of four with two young children aged 4 and 6. The household is well-supported, with a cleaner assisting approximately 16 hours per week for deep cleaning, alongside additional staff including a handyman and gardeners. This is a traditional housekeeping role with cooking responsibilities, requiring someone confident managing the day-to-day running of the home. The successful candidate will benefit from lovely separate accommodation, comprising a 2–3 bedroom cottage with its own bathroom, sitting room, and kitchen. Partners are welcome. Initially, the family will be in residence at weekends only, transitioning to full-time residence from September. The successful candidate will be adaptable to this change in household rhythm. The role includes occasional travel to the family’s beach house on the Isle of Wight, where accommodation will be provided in a nearby hotel. This is a long-term position suited to someone looking to become part of a warm and established household.
