Fleet Maintenance Mechanic II - Montgomery, NY

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Pay Rate: $33.75

We’re hiring a Fleet Maintenance Mechanic II for a warehouse distribution center in Montgomery. This is a full-time, steady role with a consistent weekday schedule.

What You’ll Do:

• Perform complex repairs on tractors and trailers and yard tractors.  Identifies and monitors problems to provide recommendation to repair or replace.
• Perform Preventive Maintenance, Inspections and General Repairs
• Air and Hydraulic Brake Diagnostics & Repairs including ABS systems
• Electrical Diagnostics and Repair
• Diagnose and repair Liftgate systems, Weld and Fabricate as needed
• Diagnose drivelines, steering, suspensions and repair
• Perform Tire and Wheel End Maintenance as needed
• Perform quality work and quantity production

What We’re Looking For:

• Preferred 2 years of mechanical experience in related mechanical field or technical training and 1 year of experience.

• Have all hand tools required for applicable areas.

• Must have a valid driver’s license

• Experience in driving/moving Class A equipment preferred Must be able to repair brakes, rear doors, air systems, and electrical systems with minimal supervision

• Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available
