Learning Support Assistant (LSA) Location: Colchester Contract: Long-Term Role Start Date: After Easter 2026 Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Protocol Education is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a welcoming and supportive school in Colchester on a long-term basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children’s learning and development.
The Role: Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
Assisting the class teacher with daily classroom activities
Supporting students with additional learning needs
Promoting a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
Monitoring and recording student progress where required
The Ideal Candidate Will: Have previous experience working with children (school-based experience desirable)
Be patient, nurturing, and adaptable
Have strong communication and teamwork skills
Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Hold a relevant qualification (desirable but not essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
