About the Role

​Tax Advisor

Due to continued growth, an opportunity has arisen for a Tax Advisor to join a collaborative Tax Advisory team. This role focuses on delivering bespoke tax advisory projects across a broad range of personal and corporate tax matters, supporting both clients and internal teams.

You will work on a variety of projects, either independently or as part of a wider team, providing high-quality, tailored advice.

Key requirements:

  • CTA qualified or qualified by experience, with 3+ years’ experience providing tax advice

  • Post-qualified experience desirable, but not essential

  • Corporate tax experience preferred

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to see the bigger picture

  • Commercial awareness and sound business acumen

  • Ability to adapt communication style to different situations

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines

  • Ability to balance client and business needs effectively

The role:

  • Client Relationships

  • Build strong, positive relationships to deliver a high level of client satisfaction

  • Proactively identify opportunities to add value and exceed client expectations

  • Manage client expectations and minimise risk when providing specialist tax advice

  • Business Development

  • Contribute to marketing and business development activities (e.g. networking, events, content creation)

  • Identify opportunities to introduce additional services where appropriate

  • People Development

  • Act as a role model, demonstrating high standards of performance and conduct

  • Stay up to date with technical developments, particularly changes in tax legislation

  • Engage in ongoing training and development (technical and soft skills)

  • Take ownership of personal development and performance, including regular feedback and reviews

  • Contribute positively to team and company-wide initiatives and meetings

  • Hours: Full-time, permanent (36.5 hours per week) – part-time considered

  • Location: Newcastle
