You prepare and supervise dry-dockings, maintenance, repair, mobilization and upgrade scopes on site, making sure safety, quality, planning and budget remain fully under control. Working closely with project teams, vessel crews, yards and subcontractors, you turn preparation into smooth execution and solve issues where they arise. This is a hands-on rotational role with limited office presence and strong international exposure, offering the opportunity to work across different vessels, locations, cultures and technical disciplines while continuously expanding your expertise.

Lead Engineer - New Builds

As a Lead Engineer - New Builds within the Fleet Investments department, you play a key role in the technical realization of DEME’s new build vessels and asset development projects. You are responsible for coordinating and steering the engineering scope from concept development through to detailed design and construction support.

Working closely with the Project Manager, you ensure that the technical solution delivered is fully aligned with the initial requirements, meets performance expectations, and is realized within the defined timeline. You act as the central engineering lead, integrating inputs across disciplines and guiding both internal and external engineering partners.

Depending on the project size, you either act as the right hand of the Project Manager on large, complex projects, or take full ownership of smaller engineering projects from A to Z.

Project Manager - New Builds

As a Project Manager - New Builds you are responsible for the end-to-end delivery of large and complex investment projects, ranging from new vessel builds to major equipment and conversion projects. You take ownership from early concept development through to final delivery and integration into the fleet.

Operating at the intersection of technical, financial, and operational domains, you ensure that projects are executed safely, within budget, on schedule, and in line with performance expectations. You act as the central point of coordination across multiple stakeholders, translating business needs into robust technical solutions and driving projects towards successful completion.
