<p><strong>Role:</strong> Senior Buyer</p><p><strong>Location:</strong> Knutsford, Parkgate Industrial Estate (Office based with occassional travel)</p><p><strong>Technical Requirement: </strong>Mechanical Engineering background (essential)</p><p></p><p>Oliver Twinsafe Valves Limited is looking for a commercially sharp, technically minded Senior Buyer to take the lead on our international procurement operations and drive down costs.</p><p>This is a rare opportunity to step into a senior role within our supply chain department.</p><p><strong>About Us</strong></p><p>We are a global leader that produces ultra critical valves for the world’s oil, gas and hydrogen industries, where exceptional quality and on time delivery is critical.</p><p><strong>What You’ll Be Doing</strong></p><p>As a Senior Buyer, you will work strategically to support the development of our supply chain and drive down costs. Your role will involve:</p><ul><li><p>Owning the strategy to develop our supply chain in China and building “boots-on-the-ground” style relationships to ensure quality and resilience</p></li><li><p>Sourcing and purchasing exotic materials and high-performance alloys (e.g.: Inconel)</p></li><li><p>Working with Machine shops as our business model is to sub-contract our components and then assemble</p></li><li><p>Reading and interpreting engineering drawings to ensure supplier capability</p></li><li><p>Taking full responsibility for the “buy” – from initial sourcing and price negotiation to final delivery</p></li><li><p>Expediting to manage lead times, troubleshoot bottlenecks and ensure we meet operational deadlines</p></li></ul><p><strong>Who We’re Looking For</strong></p><p>We are looking for a Senior Buyer with deep global procurement experience who is a strategic thinker and a hands-on “doer”.
