The Team The Insurance Disputes team is a dedicated group of lawyers based across multiple UK locations, acting for a wide range of local and international insurers. The team handles a diverse caseload spanning coverage and interpretation disputes, liability claims, subrogation, personal injury (both claimant and defendant), and cross-class claims resolution. Sectors covered include travel and tourism, aerospace, property-related indemnity, public liability, professional indemnity, medical malpractice, and health and social care.The practice is known for its commercial, pragmatic approach, resolving disputes through litigation, arbitration and all forms of alternative dispute resolution. The Role Based in Exeter, you will manage a varied caseload of insurance and personal injury disputes with excellent autonomy as you develop. You will advise on coverage and interpretation issues, handle liability claims, subrogation matters, and personal injury cases for both claimants and defendants. You will also assist with contractual matters arising in insurance disputes and, from time to time, support wider civil litigation.You will attend clients, progress cases through the litigation process, and consider all appropriate methods of ADR. Active participation in marketing and profile-raising initiatives is expected, as is ensuring files are managed in compliance with Lexcel procedures and client service level agreements.
