About the Role

<div><span style="font-size: 11pt">A reputable firm in the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) industry is in need of a Critical Project Delivery Leader to oversee vital projects in Dallas, TX. The role involves managing all aspects of construction—from pre-construction to commissioning and closeout—while maintaining high standards in safety, quality, schedule, and cost performance.</span></div> <div> <p>This role is crucial in the successful delivery of fast-paced projects for clients in the hyperscale and enterprise sectors.</p> <hr> <h2><span><strong>Key Duties</strong></span></h2> <ul> <li>Direct day-to-day construction activities for critical projects such as data centers and crucial infrastructure</li> <li>Promote a culture of safety and ensure adherence to OSHA and company HSE guidelines</li> <li>Supervise project controls including scheduling, budgeting, cost forecasting, and earned value (EVM) tracking</li> <li>Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams for seamless EPC project execution</li> <li>Create and implement project plans covering scope, cost, schedule, staffing, and risk management</li> <li>Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships; act as the main contact for project delivery</li> <li>Lead subcontractor procurement, bid processes, contract negotiations, and change order management</li> <li>Manage contract administration including RFIs, submittals, change management, claims mitigation, and closeout</li> <li>Ensure compliance with permitting requirements, building codes, and operational standards for critical facilities</li> <li>Coordinate commissioning, startup, and turnover activities for critical systems (MEP, electrical, cooling, etc.)</li> <li>Monitor project performance and provide detailed reports to internal leadership and client stakeholders</li> <li>Enforce QA/QC programs to ensure compliance with design and operational requirements</li> <li>Supervise site logistics, materials, equipment, and field resources throughout various project stages</li> <li>Oversee project closeout, documentation turnover, and warranty processes</li> <li>Perform safety, quality, financial, and progress audits</li> <li>Mentor and develop project engineers, assistant project managers, and field staff</li> </ul> <hr> <h2><span><strong>Requirements</strong></span></h2> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)</li> <li>At least 7 years of project management experience in construction, preferably in mission-critical environments like data centers</li> <li>Demonstrated success in delivering complex projects in fast-paced or high-availability settings</li> <li>Solid grasp of EPC/design-build project delivery methods</li> <li>Proficiency in project controls tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project, cost management systems)</li> <li>Experience overseeing subcontractors, contracts, and large budgets</li> <li>Knowledge of critical systems (electrical distribution, backup power, cooling systems) is a plus</li> <li>Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities</li> <li>Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills</li> <li>Understanding of project financials and basic accounting principles (GAAP)</li> <li>Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment</li> <li>Willingness to travel as needed for project requirements</li> </ul> </div>
